Basketball Courts – There are two (2) outdoor basketball courts with one located on Warren Drive and the other located next to Fire Station #1 on Cantyre Street.  Each court has two (2) goals.

Senior Citizens Center – Our Senior Citizens Center is located in the annex next to the P.B. Edwards, Jr. Recreation Center.  Seniors meet every Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm.  Lunch is served daily.  Also on Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, the Seniors play BINGO. There is no charge to play and prizes are given away. On Mondays, there are free blood pressure checks from 11:00 am – Noon.  If you would like more information, please call the Senior Center at (912) 964-5411.



Community Center – The Community Center is located on Appleby Road and is available for rent by any resident of Port Wentworth. The facility will accommodate approximately 100 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen, tables, and chairs. The cost to rent the Community Center is $40/day. A $40 key deposit will be required when the key to the Center is picked up but will be refunded when the key is returned to City Hall. Pavilion – The Pavilion is located near Fire Station #1 on Cantyre Street.  It has picnic tables, grills, and electricity.  The residents of Port Wentworth are encouraged to use this facility.

Library – The Chatham County Public Library’s Port Wentworth Branch is located in the annex next to the P.B. Edwards, Jr. Recreation Center.  The Library is open on Tuesdays from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Wednesday through Friday from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  If you would like anymore information, please call (912) 964-0371.
